We start with a short walk along the main street before leaving and beginning a steady climb up through vast open farming country and passing a little isolated Hermitage. Our way continues steadily upwards on a gentle climb as we meander through pinewoods and with wide panoramas. Before long we are passing through holm-oak woods and are descending through a valley and find ourselves sharing the route with the Camino de Santiago with big yellow arrow-marks. We pass beneath cliffs and can see ancient stone sheep compounds built in them. Before long we turn more to the SW and follow a wide track which becomes a small country tarmac lane through wide open farming country. We pass an olive grove and are soon meandering our way above Villa Domingo. We have only to ramble past the ancient underground wine storage tunnels to re-enter the village and return to the start.
