This circular walk begins and ends at the Church of St Peter & St Paul, Weston-in-Gordano. We pass the local pub then we head uphill, to descend to Redcliffe Bay. We take the coastal path to Charlcombe Bay to the valley via Common Hill Wood. We descend to the valley, where there are many chances to spot wildlife in this wetland nature reserve. Over the motorway via another wood, we walk along Tickenham Hill to drop under the motorway, giving a fascinating view of the engineering involved in its construction. From here we walk back across the valley to the pub and back to the church.

Many thanks to Dave and Sam. What a splendid, varied and interesting walk. The sun shone on 29 10 2018 despite being the wettest spring for years.

I enjoyed this walk - but can you really park in the pub car-park? There is a large notice there saying that the car-park is for pub patrons only and any unauthorised parking will be subject to clamping and fines.

We did this walk today, it was very nice for a local walk. Generally the directions were excellent, however it's worth noting that a couple of the estimates of "100 metres" seemed a little off.
