A delightful walk, taking in outstanding fenland, open farmland, rivers and lodes. It is flat, with combinations of grassy paths and gravel tracks, some paths crossing planted fields. There is a lot of interest on the River Cam, with narrowboats, cruisers and yachts all positioning themselves for space. A lock is passed on the walk, Bottisham Lock, with a guillotine lock gate.

A very easy and pleasant short, 1 hour stroll entirely on flat land, with only few stiles to negotiate. Muddy and windy in winter esp' over field tracks. Likely far more enjoyable in sandals during spring/summer with a nice pub lunch before or after by the River. The walk guide was effective. Only 2 stars as the Fens are not exactly the hanging gardens of Babylon!
