This is a walk on largely agricultural land. It crosses a reservoir and the site of a medieval village.

There is a pub in Sibbertoft (closed at lunch time on Mondays & Tuesdays) halfway round and in the start village of Welford. The walk is generally well-signposted.

I am a new member, and this was the first walk. Leicestershire/Northants is a lovely area, and this walk was really pleasant. Fairly flat, and a few stiles mostly on the second part of the walk. They are well maintained. Ok for taking a dog, although there were no livestock around. Possibly the time of year. We started at Sibbertoft rather than Welford. The instructions were first class. Tony

Note cows with calves in fields between points 6 and 7. Lengthy detour to avoid.

Love this site. The instructions and maps are clear. Great walk mainly through fields with only a small amount of road walking. When reaching instruction 31 at Welford, there is a new swing gate at the top right hand of the field leading into a new development. The public footpath is still there but not marked. We went through the new houses & the footpath sign was displayed at the other end. The pub at Sibbertoft is not open at lunchtimes on Monday & Tuesday.
