Starting in the busy village of West Moors you're soon into enclosed woodland and on The Castleman Trailway. Only on The Trailway for a few hundred yards of its 16.5mile total length, then onto equally interesting bridleways.

For the first mile or so you're in open tree lined areas and then narrow enclosed tunnels, eventually out onto open heathland. With far reaching views and plenty of wildlife to see, this is National Trust owned Holt Heath. There's many wide tracks, footpaths and bridleways zig zagging through the Heath, making it ideal for walkers, cyclists and horse riders.

After the Heath, back onto enclosed paths, a stretch of The Ferndown, Stour and Forest Trail, Castleman Trail again and to the carpark.
