Starting from the upper public car park at West Pentire, our way takes through fields full of poppies in May and June and down to join the coastal path. This we follow for a couple of kilometres around Kelsey Head before we arrive at the Holywell Bay dunes. Next, we follow the well-marked path through the dunes and have the opportunity to have a break at the nearby café/bar.

From Holywell Bay our way takes us up to the golf course and we follow its boundary until we reach and cross the lovely grasslands of The Kelseys and Cubert Common. Passing through the Treago Farm Holiday complex with charming tea room, we make our way to the road, cross and take a permissive footpath back down to re-join the coastal path. Now it is just an easy ramble along the pathway above Crantock Beach back to West Pentire and the start.
