This walk is easy in most areas without any steep climbs and only one short steep descent. The walk is mostly along field-paths, some not frequently used, though there is some road- and track-walking, mostly around Waterfall and on the return route.

The central point of this walk is the remote and tiny village of Waterfall. Offering a walker friendly pub 'The Red Lion Inn' and a tiny towered church, which is well worth a look inside. The stained glass is quite impressive for a church of this size. The pub has now joined the growing number of pubs, in this area to not open at lunch times on weekdays, now only opening at lunch times on Saturday and Sunday. Offering a varied menu, though without a salad, at reasonable prices. When last walked there was a more interesting choice of beers available.

Quite a lot of this walk is on indistinct paths through farmland. In order to stay on track we would recommend downloading the walk to the Walkingworld app so you can monitor your position on the OS map when you need to.

Did this walk yesterday and got lost on a number of occasions. Finally at point 40 got totally lost and ended up having to descend a really steep bank and using google maps to get back. To say this is a fairly easy walk is incorrect. There were quite a few steep hills to climb. The walk had lovely views but was spoiled by the instructions.
