From the tiny village of Whatcote to four other tiny settlements, Fullready, Idlicote, Honington and St Dennis, this route wanders through some magnificent Warwickshire countryside. Quiet country roads, tracks and lanes make for easy walking and the ever-present wide vistas are a constant delight. The hedgerows in the spring reverberate with birdsong and the verges are splashed with colourful flowers.

Tranquillity is all around, with far distant views that disappear over the horizon and the healing powers of nature are in bountiful supply as a retreat from modern-day mayhem.

5/30/2017 - Keith Fellows

This is a yesteryear walk. There is no off road walking and these days with the country drowning in cars there is no such thing as a quiet lane! So, not unpleasant but nothing memorable either and the traffic intrusion is a constant distraction.
