From the picturesque village of Whichford, to the tiny settlement of Stourton, then on to the edge of Sutton-under-Brailes before visiting Whichford Mill, this walk is absolutely delightful. Magnificent views from quiet country lanes and bridle-paths are a constant feature and charming dwellings of local stone make up the perfect combination for the captivating scenes along the way. In the summer months, the verges, fields and meadows burst forth the glory of nature and the tantalizing scents, the peaceful sounds and wonderful sights are a tonic to the senses in the pursuit of healthy exercise in this most appealing area of English countryside.

I really enjoyed this walk. Although it goes back a long time, the route was still correct and easily followed. Don’t let all the road walking put you off as the lanes are very quiet. Excellent pub at the end but best to book.

Great walk that could be done in all weathers (lanes and tracks). We did this on a sunny October 2018 morning. As the ground was good and dry, at point 3 we opted to take the Shakespeare way north to Cherington. We made our way to point 5 and picked the guide up from there. Great views and villages, really enjoyed it.
