This is a pleasant afternoon's stroll from Winster through fields and down into a valley, then up onto a drovers' road. Lovely walking is then had along this old road, dropping down the hill and continuing alongside a gurgling brook under low trees. This part will be very muddy during heavy rain, or in the winter months. Even so, it is well worth the trip. Eventually the path comes out into a sloping field and then back to Winster lane and the car.
