Wivenhoe - Wivenhoe Woods - River Colne - Hythe - Bourne Valley - Colchester

This is a linear route starting at Wivenhoe station and finishing up at Colchester Town station. The walk consists of lovely woodland paths, a few residential roads, a high-banked path beside the River Colne, and a section through a nature reserve. At the end you have a chance of browsing the shops in Colchester Town and also visiting Colchester Castle. All paths were clear and mostly signposted (July 2023).
For refreshments, you have The Station pub at the start, The Grapes pub (waymark 19) and all the various food outlets if you choose to visit the town at the end.
