This is a walk of great variety even though there is some road-walking involved. Start in Woodbridge, passing through the historic centre. After a couple of roads and a short pavement stretch along the A12 you continue on paths through agricultural land and then through a short but lovely stretch of heathland along bracken-fringed paths before arriving at Martlesham. Here you soon join the edge of tidal Martlesham Creek, into which the River Fynn finds its way, continuing along a lengthy stretch of the estuary of the River Deben (part of the Fynn Valley Walk) to arrive back at the station.

There are plenty of refreshments available at the start and also at The Red lion pub (Waymark 16).
