Woodchester Park and Mansion - Selsley Common - Cotswold Way - Stanley Wood - Woodchester

A walk through Woodchester Park, taking in the unfinished mansion and passing a series of lakes. The wood looks as if it will be covered in wild garlic in spring. Then take a path through vineyards and uphill to Selsey Common and returning via the Cotswold Way. There are great views in several parts of the walk.

Having just done this walk l would have to agree with the previous comment regarding the distance. It is indeed 8 miles, not the 6.2 as stated, as l wear a gps Tom Tom watch. So allow extra time especially in winter. It is a lovely walk so worth going that 'extra mile. Dogs will love it - lots of off the lead fun.

Whilst not detracting from the accuracy of the walking notes, I would point out that the overall distance of the route is 8.42 miles. A beautiful February walk nonetheless – I think we may return in the Summer and redo the walk in the reverse direction as most of the glorious views seemed to be behind us.
