Starting from the large Northamptonshire village of Woodford Halse, this is a walk in glorious open countryside that visits Charwelton and the tiny medieval setting of Church Charwelton. Field-paths, bridleways and some country road-walking combine the route, which is not only picturesque but historically interesting, especially the medieval site of Church Charwelton. Once a large, thriving community, all that now remains is its beautiful church and manor-house and farm set in peaceful pastures.

Pleasant walk all be it a fair bit of walking on the road involved. Not always clear at various points where the footpath is across certain fields
