From Worth Matravers, the route passes the much-quarried Seacombe and Winspit to the chapel at St Aldhelm's Head, returning via Emmetts Hill with its excellent coastal views and Hill Bottom. The route can be sticky after rain; the more rain the more mud. There are two short cuts: one halves the route, the other cuts out the more serious of the climbs but reduces the views.

Another great walk from Al Rodger but I'd echo John Morton's comment about the very steep stairs down from the Lookout Station and then up Emmetts Hill that might make it somewhat more challenging than an Easy Walk.

This is a superb walk, especially if, like us, you are lucky enough to do it on a bright, clear sunny day. Although not terribly long, the descent and re-ascent at Emmetts hill will test your legs. Superb sea views, and finish with a pint in the Square and Compass. We'll definitely do this one again
