This walk takes us on a six-mile, circular stroll around the Wyre Forest, including a section on the now dismantled branch of the Severn Valley Railway known as the Tenbury Line. There is also the chance to explore Dowles Brook.

The forest is known for its nature and activities at the Wyre Forest Visitor and Discovery Centre. More info' is at http://tiny.cc/gkOGm

There are excellent pubs in Bewdley as well as a great chip shop and town and river walk.

Please note there is a GPX track available when you download this walk. This is easily loaded into apps such as alpine quest. So any areas such as woodland you can see your absolute position against the track originally walked, so it should be almost impossible to get lost.

07/10/21. Got lost twice. At end of point 4 Turn right on main road to Woodhouse farm drive. Entering wood after point 5 need compass as too many tracks and main path to 6 not clear. At 6 cross road to gap and walk on path parallel to road until join main track. From point 7 we apparently did not walk far enough up railway line. Good idea to give indication of distance on the line. Retraced steps to bridge, turned left until main track on right and weary walk to car.
