Stage 5 of the Yorkshire Wolds Way starts in the village of North Grimston at the North Western edge of the Wolds. After heading into the Wolds for about a mile, it picks up the Wolds Way, which takes us through woodland and over the edge of the Wolds once again, to the pretty village of Wintringham. The Wolds Way then climbs back up to acquire the northern edge of the Wolds, with views over the Vale of York and the Vale of Pickering. We then drop from the escarpment to skirt Sherburn, and stay on the low ground until our destination for the day - Ganton.

Dog walkers please note that there are a number of dog-unfriendly stiles en route, and areas where livestock may be present.
