A very pleasant valley walk from this charming Yorkshire Dales village in beautiful Swaledale.

The walk crosses sheep farming land with beautiful views across the dale, leading to a magnificent arched bridge over the river. Return along the river through the meadows to cross another footbridge into Muker. Excellent pub in Muker village.

This walk could be combined with Walk ID 1057, which goes the other direction up Swaledale towards Keld.

A lovely walk but information on distance& height gain was incorrect. Height gain was given as 50m but should have been 150metres. Distance was given as 15km but was only 10.3km. Despite this the walk is very picturesque & well worth doing on a warm summers day
