A high-level link between two of Wharfedale's gems, Litton and Arncliffe, with a riverside return.

An invigorating climb affording excellent views gives way to a remarkably level ridge walk, before a scenic descent. A tranquil riverside stroll completes the circuit.

Did this walk 27/05/22 and it certainly lived up to the comments already made. Bit of a steep climb to start off with but soon levels off and is fairly easy from there. Stunning views back over Pen y Ghent and down towards Kettlewell. The last segment was along by the river which was almost dry today. Thought we would stop off and have a pint and some food but they stop serving at 14:00 so be aware if you are planning on food.

Did this walk at the end of July 2020, and forgot to leave a comment. Good route finding; the only problem was of our making, staying in Hawkswick Cote, wanted to join the walk at Arncliffe and sillyly, had difficulty finding where to start - always a possibility when you join a walk half-way through! Cracking views especially from point 4 to 7. Appreciated the tall stone wall between points 3 and 4, as weather was showery and quite windy. However, this did not stop our enjoyment.

Did this walk on 4 May 2011. The word "invigorating" certainly encapsulates the first part! Lovely weather for the walk, very blowy at the top but thoroughly enjoyable and only saw another 4 people from start to finish. The views over Littondale are stupendous but I am biased as this is my favourite dale. To round off a super day if you are heading back south after the walk in the direction of Skipton do yourself a favour and call in at the Angel in Hetton for your evening meal (early bird 6.00 to 6.45) and the best pint (or 3) of Timothy Taylor's I've ever tasted.
