A walk that will suit all the family and with enough interest to last all day. It takes in the quaint fishing port of Brixham with its fine harbour that houses a working, full-size replica of Drake's ship the Golden Hind, as well as the old wooden sailing boats of the Pilgrim Trust. The walk continues round the coast, taking in the Napoleonic fort at Berry Head, which is also a fine nature reserve containing the largest colony of guillemots on the south coast. There is an interesting visitor centre here, that has a remote control camera overlooking the bird colony for a close-up view of proceedings.

Nice walk. Parking at Berry Head is recommended and pick up the walk around point 18 to 20 instead of starting at point 1 as shown where you are looking to park on street.

Walked on Sunday 25/8/13. Directions good, Waypoint 24 has now had a new gate and stone stile fitted, no longer wood and a nice new gravel path on the approach. Some great views to be had and well worth the effort. Highly recommended.
