This walk crosses pastures to the south of Burton to reach the canal, which is followed for a short distance before the ascent of Hanging Hill. Although it is only a short walk, it gives a taste of what the area has to offer and has wide-ranging views from the modest height gained. It's a good bet if you have only a little time to spare.
