The walk has been planned so that small children, whether walking or in buggies, can enjoy the footpaths around Grasmere. The terrain is mostly gravelled paths, while the grass in the two fields crossed are cropped by sheep. There is one short climb which I think most parents will not find too difficult to push a buggy up. Although I do not include them in the walk, there are extra paths to be explored in the grounds and woods of the hall.
