Pike o'Blisco is a pyramid-shaped mountain at a height of 705m, sandwiched between Great and Little Langdale. This route starts off at Old Dungeon Ghyll Hotel, follows the valley floor of Oxendale and ascends a steep path along Browney Gill to Red Tarn. Although the route to the tarn is fairly strenuous the views of Oxendale and Great Langdale more than make up for it! The final ascent to the summit is easy going and the top offers amazing views down the whole of Great Langdale and even across to Windermere.
The start of the descent is along an intermittent path and after a few rocky descents, joins a well-constructed path most of the way down to the road just north of Blea Tarn. From the road the route joins a newly constructed path that zigzags its way down to the National Trust campsite and then back to the car park.
