We take the steamer boat from Pooley Bridge or Glenridding to Howtown. Then it's an easy walk around Hallin Fell with some magnificent views over Ullswater, with beautiful backdrops of the surrounding fells. On to Sandwick, where we meet some unusual 'village people' and pass the picturesque Borrowdale, before returning to Howtown to meet our steamer for the ride home.
