This largely flat walk goes north from the centre of Kendal, following the river wherever possible. It reaches the village of Burneside where there is a picnic site, then goes further north to Bowston Village, where it turns for home along the Dales Way, again by the River Kent. Views of southern fells and the Howgills can be enjoyed before the network of footpaths through the town brings you back to the centre of Kendal.
