Starting from Reeth village green this low-level walk takes you across pleasant pastures to the bank of the river Swale. From here the walker climbs gently to the pretty village of Healaugh and through higher pastures beneath the moor edge before dropping again to the river Swale and a long riverside ramble below Low Row. The river is crossed at beyond Low Row and a delightful green lane takes you back, above the river, towards Reeth before letting out onto a short stretch of moorland edge. The river is again met and a short riverside amble takes the walker back to the meadows below Reeth and the end of this peaceful, delightful amble through the heart of Swaledale.
