Summerhouse - Killerby - Ingleton - Langton - Headlam - Summerhouse
This is an easy walk through the flat agricultural land in the centre of the triangle formed by West Auckland, Darlington and Barnard Castle. The pleasant route, along roads, lanes and through fields, passes through five villages, all with a history going back to the Middle Ages. The easy to follow walk also passes through the five-star Headlam Hall hotel complex that includes a spa and a golf course. One fifth of the walk is along roads or lanes without pavements but with very little traffic.
