Parking on this quiet road means that you are already in the hills north of Coniston with magnificent views all around. The first part of the walk uphill is on a path of boulders, which reaches a high point overlooking Little Langdale Tarn, with a wonderful view of the Langdale Pikes. You descend close to the tarn before a pleasant walk along the river, finally entering woodland to meet a quiet metalled road back to the starting point. This walk has spectacular Lakeland views without too much effort. We walked it with a 3-year-old who coped very well.

Nice Walk with good views but beware as the instructions are not good particularly on the last instruction. You will need a map to be sure of the right way.
