This is a moderately challenging walk from Troutbeck Church, through Limefitt Park and up Applethwaite Fell, returning via a quiet road and then a country lane and track to the church. This is a great walk for adventurous kids and combines lovely views of the Troutbeck Valley and the Tongue, with quiet country lanes and bridle paths. There are ample opportunities to stop for tea (or something stronger) at the beginning and the end of the walk, as the village of Troutbeck is only a few yards from the start and finish points.

Did this superb walk with our two large dogs. 90% of it they could be off lead for as the bridleways are secure away from roads, and all fields either side safely gated. The views were spectacular. The description and photos were very easy to follow. Thoroughly recommend this walk. We will definitely be doing it again in the future!

Well described walk, dog-friendly, good views - exactly as it says in the description.
