This superb walk from Wolsingham heads north up the moor on the eastern side of the valley that carries the Waskerley Beck to intersect and traverse the picturesque Tunstall Reservoir. The return leg travels the western slopes of the valley and concludes with a pleasant descent to return to Wolsingham.

The walk starts from the large free Demesnes car park in Wolsingham before field- and lane-walking that is mainly uphill takes you to the Open Access Land on Wolsingham North Moor. A mainly flattish, long, moorland walk passes the trig point, the highest point of the walk, before the route changes direction and heads steeply downhill on a wide, stony track to arrive at Tunstall Reservoir. Shoreline-walking follows then road-walking along the length of the reservoir, after which the route starts to rise through a series of fields to a high point at Park Wall. From here the walk is all downhill, initially through a wood and then down a long, surfaced lane. From the lane the walk continues gradually downhill through fields and lanes to return to Wolsingham.
