A delightful walk from Wolsingham, across fields and fells uphill to Tunstall Reservoir. Here the route can easily be extended to include a walk around the reservoir nature trail, then downhill across moors, with excellent views of the Wolsingham Valley.

WARNING - we went to do this walk in September 2012 and the entire reservoir path is still closed to the public due to works which were due for completion in March 2012. Looks like it'll be inaccessible for a good while yet as no sign of imminent completion - very disappointed, wouldn't like anyone else to drive 40 miles to do this walk and be unable to even begin it.

Did this walk 24/2/08 and went down to reservoir and up to old railway (A good climb up ahead of point 7) lovely views at the top. Enjoyed it.

I adored this walk. I agree it's fairly strenuous but I felt it was well worth the effort. It really takes you off the 'beaten track.' We saw rabbits, hares, grouse and pheasants - marvellous! We also did a quick circuit of the reservoir - addds about 3 - 3.5 miles to the walk.
