A very pretty little walk for visitors to Town End, where parking can be difficult on busy days, with a nice climb through woods and terrific views across Lake Windermere.

We have just completed this walk, very enjoyable in the Autumn light. We set off from the Waterhead Carpark in Lakeside, Ambleside. The walk the starts opposite the car park, signed posted Jenkins Cragg. We picked up the walk at Waymark 2. We have also got a photo for Waymark 7.

Did this walk on a recent visit to Ambleside staying at the Cherry Garth Hotel just opposite the Garden Centre so right by Waymark 1! Lovely walk but a hard climb and we found it harder coming down! Took us more than 90 minutes but the views made it all worthwhile.
