This short walk begins and ends in the old-fashioned and picturesque village of Blanchland. Upon leaving the car park, the walk takes you back through the village square to reach the riverbank. The narrow path then picks its way along the riverbank for about a kilometre. After this you climb up a wide track to return via a short section of road to the village. It is an ideal walk for young children who don't yet have the stamina for longer walks.
