Eppleby - Caldwell - Cliffe Hall - Aldbrough St John - Kirkbridge - Forcett - Eppleby
An entirely flat circular walk around the farming area in the northernmost region of North Yorkshire, passing through a collection of pleasant villages and hamlets. The route also passes through a vast area of earthworks that are attributed to the Brigantes, a tribe of Ancient Britons.
The walk starts from the village of Eppleby with one of the largest village greens in the area and then heads west through fields to the village of Caldwell. From here the next two miles are mainly on surfaced roads with a short section of farm track in the middle. The next five miles are entirely through fields or along quiet lanes to the picturesque village of Aldbrough-St-John. The final 2.5 miles travel through the former Brigante stronghold centred around the villages of Stanwick, Kirkbridge and Forcett to return to Eppleby.
