A gentle climb to afford some great contrasting views of Littondale. This walk gives some surprisingly good views from the slight climb and then returns along two valleys, which contrast sharply with each other.

This is a super walk, even on a grey day. After the initial climb there are wonderful views over Littondale and it is mostly level walking. Some of the instructions are a bit out of date- there is no longer any style at no.3, but the finger post is present and it is OK to find your route using the map. The return footpath along the riverbank is clearly signposted.

A lovely walk. One word of caution, at waypoint 2 there were some 'randy' horses in the field so watch out! Waypoint 2 should read: Turn left, follow the track round to a gate, go through and follow the obvious path up to a gate in the middle of the wall. Go through this gate and then head left towards a wall which you follow up the hill to waypoint 3. If you have reached a gate on a right hand wall with a fingerpost you have gone the wrong way! A lovely walk with some great views and quite easy (apart from the initial descent). 8/10.
