This walk can be muddy so is probably best done when it hasn't rained for a while. It's all about the magnificent views with the added bonus of a river walk where herons and egrets abound. The river is likely to lose its flood protection so the area will probably become salt marsh as sea levels rise, so enjoy it while you can. I've decided to catagorise it as 'strenuous' because of the very poor path maintenance at the steepest bit - it's dangerous. The National Trust are responsible for this footpath and their volunteers are beginning to gear up again following lockdown.
