The climb from Ingleton is a hard one but the path has been improved in recent years to counter erosion. The flat summit is a tricky place to be in mist, so choose your day, so that the way off is easily found. Once on it you will find a very gradual descent over moorland, followed by easy paths through meadows.

I did this walk with my wife in September, navigation from Ingleton is straight forward the only difficulty is finding the right path off the summit, we did the walk in good weather and still chose the wrong one! fortunately realising the mistake after only a short distance. The walk itself is strenuous in places especially towards the top, however, the path has been improved and we found that no scrambling was required although the path is very steep for the last short section to the summit. A great walk with magnificent views from the top.

I did this walk with a few friends last weekend. Overall the walk was well documented with all the turning points clearly distinguished, however the wording confused me a little after you reach the top of Ingleborough. Overall though a great walk! Thanks.
