This walk begins and ends in Middleton-in-Teesdale, following the course of the River Tees up to High Force Waterfall and back. The Tees is a beautiful river, in places cascading over falls, in places running smoothly in a wide bed. In the summer you will be rewarded by a host of birds and flowers along the banks of the river.

It is intended that once High Force has been reached, the return is made along the same path, as this is the most scenic route. If time does not permit this, then take any of the bridges over the Tees and return via the road.

Lovely little walk, easy to follow. The falls are quite spectacular, plenty of wildlife on route. This is one we will do again.

My wife and I completed this walk recently, navigation is easy I would say its almost impossible to get lost, the walk is mainly flat with a few very small climbs. The scenery is beautiful a really nice low level walk.
