Seaford - Cuckmere Haven - South Hill

Take a look around Seaford’s clean and quiet esplanade and beach. There's a museum in a Martello tower, a café and toilets all nearby at its east end. A short walk right to the end of the esplanade will reveal a chalk stack and the flint layers in the chalk.

Take a steep climb up the chalk cliffs alongside the golf course and walk along the top, with wondrous views of the Seven Sisters. Walk onwards through a local nature reserve and then down to Cuckmere Haven: this beautiful, meandering river and its flat valley are soon to be sacrificed to the sea if the Environment Agency gets its way. Walk back along an inland path over the site of what looks very like a Second World War airfield.

The start and end of the walk are along the same bit of footpath but it's none the worse for that.
