An easy and pleasant walk in woods and across farmland between Guildford and Farnham, a shortened version of Walk 4266 for the days when four miles is enough.

The walk features a variety of architecture in both Shackleford and the surrounding countryside. You will invariably see a variety of birdlife, as well as some of the local prize-winning Aberdeen Angus herd.

Did this walk on 1 January 2022. There are long stretches of it that are extremely muddy at this time of year, so if you don't like slipping about in mud that comes over your boots, avoid it in winter. Not the most scenic of walks, as a lot of time is spent in gulleys, looking up at wooded banks, or in woodland.
