Walk up the scarp slope of the South Downs along the cleverly crafted but somewhat difficult path to the top of Truleigh Hill and its large radio masts. Here you will find a Youth Hostel with a restaurant. Cross the South Downs Way and walk down the dip slope, enjoying splendid sea views. Walk through the National Trust land at Southwick hill as far as Mile Oak Farm, where there is also a café, then walk back up through a gentle dry valley. The initial climb can be avoided by starting near the Youth Hostel. This would make it an 'easy walk'. Also there are opportunities for shortening the walk elsewhere. There is a GPS file to download with many more waymarks.
